Gigi is a University of the Philippines graduate. College of Music, Major in Dance. July of 1990,
she was one among the member of the U.P. DANCE COMPANY who represented the Philippines in the International Fistival in Hongkong.
She has also participated in the following production of the Philippine Ballet Theater (PBT) "MORE" and "TRIBUTE" TO THE FILIPINO
CHOREOGRAPHERS. She attended the dance teacher seminar at the Cultural Center of the Philippines under Ms. Valerie Sunderland of the Royal
Academy of Dancing (London). She also attended the seminar for ballet teachers conducted by christine WalshA.M., Director of the Australian
Conservatoire of Ballet and Christine Dance Center.
She has a scholar of the Ballet Dance Academy under the tutelage of Ms. Nida Onglengco Pangan. She also trained under Ms. Charmaine Ibio
and Chatita Lorenzana of the Charmaine Studio of Performing Arts, Virac, Catanduanes. Then she enrolled at the Ballet Philippines, Cultural Center of the
Philippines, under the tutelage of Ms. Juliet Molina, at the Academie of Performing Arts under Ms. Vikki Barredo; Eli Jacinto of TEAM. Steve Villaluz (Basilio),
Sonia Domingo, and Agnes Locsin of the University of the Philippines.
Choreographer:
She has a wide range of exposure. She is one of choreographer of the Malaysia Night at Philam Life on the invitation of the Malaysian Embassy (thanks to Basilio for the break).
For three years, she was the official choreographer of the "Ang Palaboy" and "Ang Sugo". She choreographed the "Ibalik ang Kalikasan" fund raising project of the Samahang Kababaihan
ng Laguna headed by Ms. Lourdes Cataquiz. Being an active member of the Church, she made several choreographies for the LORD.
Gigi is a member of the Association of Ballet Academies, Philippines. In 1995 she was appointed as assistant Treasurer and year 1998 she was
elected as Press Relation Officer.
Teacher:
At the age of 11, she started teaching Ballet and Hawaiian. She was the ballet instructress of the University of the Philippines Musical Arts and Research Foundation,
Inc. for three years. She has extention ballet classes at Pacita Catholic School; Amazing Grace, San Vicente, San Pedro; St. Paul Tuguegarao; Mater Ecleissai, San Perdo, and Canossa
Acdemy, Lipa Batangas.
She is a Black Belt (plain) holder, trained under Master/Captain/Father Beny Elopre CHS, 8th Dan Red & White belt.
At present she is the Preview Officer of POEA, PDSP.
